Extremist Jewish Settlers in the West Bank continue to vandalize in the West Bank with impunity. They attack Palestinian properties, cut olive trees, set fire in Palestinian cars and lately thy started to attack Muslim Mosques in different localities and villages in the West Bank. Such violations and aggressions against religious sites and holy places if they take place in other parts of the world would rouse the fury of the public opinion and of the super powers claiming to preach the values of peace, freedom, democracy, freedom of worship and respect of all religions and beliefs.
Two days ago armed Extremist settlers in the village of Hewwara to the South of Nablus Extremist Jewish settlers broke in the Mosque of the village and wrote insulting graffiti against Prophet Mohammad on the internal Walls of the Mosque. Such desecration activities took place in the Village of Yassouf few months ago as well as in Hebron and not to forget East-Jerusalem.
In addition to all such unpunished activities Extremist settlers broke-in the village of Jane Safout at dawn of Friday April 16, 2010 and set fire in two Palestinian cars in the village of Jane Safout situated to the East of Qalqilia. The vandalizing settlers wrote racist graffiti against Palestinians on the walls of the village.
The mayor of the village Thabet Bashir Head of the village Council said that an Israeli car with yellow license and 4 settlers inside escaped in the direction of Al Funduq and entered the Israeli settlement of Kadumim when villagers were awakened by the fire of the two burning cars belonging to two Palestinian villagers. The graffiti on the Walls said that, ”the settlers will conduct such activities every year and on every Jewish feast day.”

In East-Jerusalem the number of International and Israeli peace activists against the Israeli repressive measures against Palestinian Jerusalemites is increasing. This Friday of April 16, 2010 demonstrators chanted slogans against ethnic cleansing measures in Sheikh Jarrah such as “No to occupation” and “get out from Sheikh Jarrah” and “Jerusalem… Capital to two states”.
On the other side tens of Israeli soldiers, Israeli Police and special guards stood in the face of the Israeli and International peace activists and formed a wall to prevent the solidarity activists from entering the Sheikh Jarrah quarter. They also prevented the solidarity activists from leaving the garden of Sheikh Jarrah, while other soldiers took pictures for the demonstrators.
