SIXTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ANTI-APARTHEID WEEK

Anti-Apartheid week against Israel was launched on March 2, 2010 in 40 cities to mark the sixth anniversary of this week around the world. The activities were launched by a small group of activists in Toronto Canada in 2005. The idea fell on fertile ground to become one of the largest activities around the world in support of the Palestinian rights on international level. The idea calls for the internationalization of the struggle against the Israeli Apartheid regime. The week includes various activities against the Israeli Apartheid in 2010. The current sixth anniversary will hold intensified activities on world level calling for the boycott of Israel, the withdrawal of investments from Israel and the imposition of sanctions on the Israeli regime. During the week lectures will be held and films shown in addition to different activities to shed light on the Israeli Apartheid measures in Palestine and explain the creative activities for the boycott campaign. Moreover, the campaign will include awareness activities to explain the numerous ongoing injustices that justify the boycott campaign and its local and international impact in the battle to topple the Israeli Apartheid Regime. In Bethlehem activities will be launched by a political lecture in the Beit Jibrin Cultural Center ( Hanthala Center) in the refugee Camp of Al Azza. The forum will include spokesman from the Badeel Center the Palestinian Campaign to resist the WALL and the national Committee to boycott Israel. Similar activities will take place in the Gaza Strip.
