The weekly demonstrations and marches against the Israeli occupation, settlement construction and Walls took place during this week end of 2nd and 3rd of April 2010 in different villages and localities of the West Bank including East-Jerusalem. Even in the villages of Bil’in, Ni’lin and Nabi Saleh to the North-West of Ramallah declared by the Israeli military authorities as closed military zones during Fridays for a period of six months non-violent activities went on.
Palestinian demonstrators supported by International peace activists (Solidarnosh) and Israeli peace activists marched against the Israeli expansionist Wall and raised slogans and Palestinian flags condemning the Wall construction
International Relations Commissioner of Fatah Dr. Nabeel Shaath was dispatched by President Mahmoud Abbas to the Polish capital on Saturday April 17, 2010 to pay tribute to the late President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and senior Polish officials who were killed in an airplane crash in Western Russia last week, April 11, 2010.
Dr. Shaath will be representing President Abbas, the Fatah Movement and the Palestinian people in this tragic mission.

The Villagers of Bil’in Commemorate the First Anniversary of Basem Abu Rahmah
The Popular Committee of Bil’in organized a ceremony on April 16, 2010 to commemorate the death of Basem Abu Rahmah, who was murdered last year when he was shot with a tear gas canister in the chest during one of the weekly protests.
Following the Friday prayer several speakers took the stage to talk about the resistance of the village and Palestinians in general throughout the conflict. The Popular Committee welcomed the crowd and invited everyone to join the protest. The family was represented by Basem’s brother, Ahmad Abu Rahmah, who spoke about Basem’s contributions to the village and especially to the struggle against the wall.
Weekly non-violent marches and demonstrations against the Israeli occupation and its repressive measures took place in different places in the Palestinian territories in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The Demonstrators of this weekend Friday April 16, 2010 called for the intensification of the popular resistance against the Expansionist Wall and settlements stealing the land properties of the Palestinian people living under Israeli occupation.
The demonstrations were staged in different places and villages in the West Bank including Bil’in, Ni’lin and Nabi Saleh to the northwest of Ramallah and in Massara and Al Walajeh to South of Bethlehem.
Extremist Jewish Settlers in the West Bank continue to vandalize in the West Bank with impunity. They attack Palestinian properties, cut olive trees, set fire in Palestinian cars and lately thy started to attack Muslim Mosques in different localities and villages in the West Bank. Such violations and aggressions against religious sites and holy places if they take place in other parts of the world would rouse the fury of the public opinion and of the super powers claiming to preach the values of peace, freedom, democracy, freedom of worship and respect of all religions and beliefs.
